Mountain Lake Regatta and Boat Launch Ribbon Cutting

Join us as we celebrate the reopening of the newly renovated Boat Launch with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and our first ever Mountain Lake Regatta!

All boat types are welcome and you are encouraged to decorate your boat or paddleboard, if you wish! Think of this as more of a parade and celebration of returning to our Lake for the season, not as a race.

After the Regatta, you are welcome to keep your boats in the water and continue the fun for as long as you wish. We hope you will join us later in the day for an evening swim and campfire celebration at Smallwood Beach.

The Beach will be open for special hours from 6:30pm-9:30pm. We'll offer evening swimming, which will end by 9pm. The campfire will be going until around 9:30pm.

Bring your own food, refreshments, beach chairs, etc. Musicians are encouraged to bring their acoustic instruments or percussion to jam around the fire. 

We will need volunteers in the evening from 6pm-10pm. If you are interested in helping out to make the event a success, please email Jose Nunez, Volunteer Coordinator, at smwcavolunteer@gmail.com.

The schedule of events is as follows:

2:30pm - 3pm:

All boats should be in the water and gather near the Lakeshore Drive Boat Launch.

3pm:

Boat Launch Ribbon Cutting

3:30pm:

Mountain Lake Regatta (1 lap around the Lake, clockwise start and ending at the Lakeshore Drive Boat Lauch.)

6:30pm - 9:30pm:

Night swim and campfire at Smallwood Beach.
